10 more kids & teenagers rescued from occupation by Save Ukraine team
10 children and teenagers were rescued from russian occupation by the Save Ukraine team last week. This became possible thanks to the support of partners within the framework of the President of Ukraine’s initiative Bring Kids Back UA. Each of them went through pressure, threats, fear, and attempts at “re-education,” but today all of that is finally behind them.
Among those rescued:
🔹 17-year-old Alina, who was humiliated at a russian school because she is Ukrainian. Students were forced to listen to the russian anthem every morning and collect aid for russian soldiers. Those who refused were given lower grades by teachers.
🔹 21-year-old Sofia, who during her time at school was ordered to tear up Ukrainian textbooks and cover Ukrainian state symbols. After turning 18, she experienced house searches and threats simply because of her pro-Ukrainian views.
🔹 18-year-old Maksym, who was forced to study in a russian school and attend “patriotic lessons.” Otherwise, his parents were threatened that their son would be taken away.
For these children, and 7 others, occupation is already in the past. They are currently recovering in our Hope and Healing Centers, where they receive psychological support, help with documents, safe housing, and the care they need for a new beginning.
But thousands of children are still trapped under occupation, where they are forced to forget their roots and are openly prepared for war. But we will not stop.
🙏 We are grateful to our partners Wladimir Klitschko, Tatjana Kiel, WeAreAllUkrainians, The Humanity Funds, and the Joint Center for the Coordination of Search and Release — together, we are bringing Ukrainian children back home.
Thanks to Save Ukraine, more than 1,300 children are already home.
